Vehicle theft
Statistics indicate that 1 in every 300 UK used cars have been stolen at some point. Every day HPI checks identify almost 30 stolen vehicles.
Previous damage
Out of every 100 vehicles checked, 4 have previously been written-off due to theft or damage.
Number plate changes Out of every 100 cars checked, HPI data shows 15 have had a plate change at least once. A plate change may hide a car's past.
Outstanding finance
